Career College Challenge: High School Edition

OACC’s judges of the Career College Challenge: High School Edition were so impressed with the quality of entries it made it difficult to choose just three:

Best Overall

Richmond Green Secondary School student Cynthia Liu, of Markham, came in first place with her poster entitled “The Right Choice For You?” The poster shows off Cynthia’s skills and draws the viewer in to find out more about career colleges. OACC Judges liked the look and the real facts she used to show why career colleges are a great choice when considering post-secondary education. For her great work, Cynthia won a 16 GB Apple iPad Wi-fi!

Best Video

St. Francis Xavier Secondary School student Michal Ulman, of Mississauga, used his video editing skills to win Best Video in the Career College Challenge: High School Edition. OACC Judges were impressed with his transitions and music choice – an effective and eye catching video! His great video won him an 8 GB Apple iPod Touch!

 

Best Poster

Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate Institute student Elaine Yuan, of Toronto, used a combination of hand drawn and digital techniques to win Best Poster in the Career College Challenge: High School Edition. Elaine earned herself an 8 GB Apple iPod Touch for her unique and success-driven poster highlighting career college education.
